The hospital can be a scary place for our patients and their families. Certified Child Life Specialists are trained professionals with expertise in helping children and their families overcome life’s most challenging events. Their methods include medical play, preparation for procedures, normalization, family support, therapeutic interventions, and education to reduce fear, anxiety, and pain.
The work done by our Child Life Specialists is made possible by generous donations towards supportive programs, specialized materials, and other resources.
