Miracle Monday: Meet Kellan!

Kellan Anderson is one of our local Miracle Kids here in Spokane. He was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) when he was just 3 years old. Now, he is 6 years old and cancer free thanks to the incredible doctors and caregivers at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital. Last week, just days before Thanksgiving, Kellan got to ring the bell to signify that he was done with his treatment. Hearing your child has cancer is something no parent wants to hear, but through it all, Kellan’s parents are grateful for our Children’s Hospital.

“It’s amazing. I remember even at the beginning, I said, you know, I wouldn’t want to do this anywhere else. It feels like a family here,” Kellan’s mom said.

To hear Kellan’s full story and to see him ring the bell, check out the 4 News Now Story.

Kellan will be joining the 4 News Now Extreme Team Thursday, December 5, for the Making Spirits Bright lighting. He will flip the switch to illuminate thousands of Christmas lights in Cowley Park. The Spokane park is right outside of the children’s hospital.
